The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea expressed hope that the issues between the two countries will be resolved.
Tensions between Kiev and Seoul were heightened after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in his speech to the UN General Assembly that two North Korean soldiers captured by Russia during the fighting had been handed over to South Korea.
This angered Seoul.
Kiev later denied Seoul's claim that the parties had agreed to keep the transfer of the prisoners secret.
South Korea demanded an apology from Ukraine, promising to take appropriate measures if it did not.
