Gyumri Mayor Ghukasyan found not guilty in hooliganism case, will remain under house arrest

Գյումրիի քաղաքապետ Ղուկասյանը անմեղ ճանաչվեց խուլիգանության գործով, նա կմնա տնային կալանքի տակ

The court today found Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan not guilty in a case under the article of hooliganism, which was initiated in November last year.

Դատարանն այսօր անմեղ ճանաչեց Գյումրիի քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանին՝ խուլիգանության հոդվածով քննվող գործով, որը հարուցվել էր անցած տարի նոյեմբերին: Այս գործով անցնում է նաև Վարդան Ղուկասյանի որդին՝ Սպարտակ Ղուկասյանը: Մեղադրանքն առաջադրվել էր հոր ու որդու մի շարք արտահայտությունների հետքերով: Մասնավորապես, հերթական դատական նիստից հետո, պատասխանելով լրագրողների հարցերին, Ղուկասյանն ասել էր՝ «հաղթելու ենք, չարը գնալու է, թուրքին էլ բռնաբարելու ենք»: Որդին էլ նմանատիպ արտահայտությամբ լրացրել էր հորը:

Vardan Ghukasyan's son, Spartak Ghukasyan, is also involved in this case.

The charge was brought on the heels of a number of statements made by the father and son.

In particular, after the next court session, answering journalists' questions, Ghukasyan said: "We will win, the evil will go, and we will rape the Turks."

The son complemented his father with a similar statement.
