We are satisfied with Armenianness...

From September to May, union activities are planned, all the unions adjacent to and accompanying the Armenian Center work daily with the diligence of a bee without hesitation. ARS members, Homenetmen members, nationalists and schoolchildren have much to do. They work non-stop for nine months, many of them preparing performances, planning stage works, preparing and selling dishes, holding meetings and still countless and countless works, which they perform with great heart and joy in the work entrusted to them.

Սեպտեմբերէն մինչեւ մայիս, միութենական աշխատանքներ կը ծրագրուին, Հայ կեդրոնի յարակից եւ ուղեկից բոլոր միութիւնները առանց վարանելու մեղուի աշխատասիրութեամբ օրնիբուն կ'աշխատին։ ՀՕՄ-ականներ, ՀՄԸՄ-ականներ, համազգայնականներ եւ դպրոցակններ բազում ընելիք ունին․ ինը ամիս անդադար կ'աշխատին, անոնցմէ շատեր ելոյթներ պատրաստելով, բեմական աշխատանքներ ծրագրելով, ուտեստներ պատրաստելով եւ ծախելով, ժողովներ կատարելով եւ տակաւին անթիւ եւ անհամար աշխատանքներ, որոնք մեծ սրտով եւ ուրախութեամբ կը կատարեն իրենց վստահուած աշխատանքները։

In May, the performances begin in sequence. The colony is filled with Armenianness, as if we are not living on foreign shores. Weekly concerts, performances, dance and group performances. The Hamazkayin hall smells of Armenianness.

Մայիսին, հերթականութեամբ կը սկսին ելոյթները։ Գաղութը կը խայտայ հայկականութեամբ, կարծէք օտար ափերու մէջ չենք ապրիր։ Շաբաթական դրութեամբ համերգներ, ելոյթներ, պարային եւ եգչախմբային ներկայացումներ։ Համազգայինի սրահը կը բուրէ հայկականութեամբ։

The description of an Armenian is to serve, work and work hard for the sake of national principles, the implementation of union programs. It seems that the bond of service is imprinted with the identity of an Armenian.

Հայու նկարագիրն է ծառայել, աշխատիլ եւ յոգնիլ յանուն ազգային սկզբունքներու, միութենական ծրագիրներու իրագործան։ Կարծէք ծառայութեան դաշինքը դրոշմուած է հայու ինքնութեան հետ։

No matter which country you go to, which corner of the world you reach, wherever you travel, the Armenian acts on the same principle. loves to serve and strive for the national principle, the noble goal of remaining Armenian, living and preserving the Armenian identity.

Աշխարհի որ երկիրը երթաս, որ անկիւնը որ հասնիս, ուր որ ալ ճամբորդես, հայը կը գործէ նոյն սկզբունքով. կը սիրէ ծառայել եւ տքնիլ յանուն ազգային սկզբունքին, հայ մնալու, ապրելու եւ հայութիւնը պահելու վեհ նպատակին։

The Toronto Armenian community in Canada was not left out of this principle either. Union members, after their various daily tasks, serve union affairs almost every day of the week. Service reaches its peak when unions come together with performances and purely Armenian events, which inspire the Toronto Armenian community and saturate the people with Armenianness.

Գանատայի թորոթոհայ գաղութն ալ անմասն չի մնար այս սկզբունքէն։ Միութենականներ իրենց առօրեայի այլազան աշխատանքներէն ետք, շաբթուան գրեթէ բոլոր օրերը կը ծառայեն միութենական գործերուն։ Ծառայութիւնը իր գագանակէտին կը հասնի երբ միութիւններ հանդէս կու գան ելոյթներով եւ զուտ հայկական ձեռնարկներով, որոնք կ'ոգեւորեն թորոնթոհայ գաղութը եւ հայկականութեամբ կը յագեցնեն ժողովուրդը։

The colony is teeming with union events. The highlight is in May, when the annual performance of the ARS Day School student choir begins. More than six hundred students perform patriotic and national songs.

Գաղութը եռուն է միութենական ձեռնարկներով։ Առաջներկը մայիսին է, երբ սկիզբ կ'առնէ ՀՕՄ-ի ամէնօրեայ վարժարանի աշակերտական տարեկան երգչախումբի ելոյթը։ Աւելի քան վեց հարիւր աշակերտ-աշակերտուհիներ հանդէս կու գան հայրենասիրական եւ ազգային երգերով։

In the vastness of Canada, next to the purely English-speaking and French-speaking foreigners, we, the small number of Armenians, have our own structure, center, Armenian church and school, with its patriotic principal and teaching staff, the imprint of which we see when each of the students sings or plays national and patriotic songs with a happy face and high spirits.

Անծայրածիր Գանատայի մէջ, զուտ անգլիախօս եւ ֆրանսախօս օտարներու կողքին մենք՝ փոքրաթիւ հայերս, ունինք մեզի պատկանող կառոյց, կեդրոն, հայ եկեղեցի ու դպրոց՝ իր ազգանուէր տնօրէնութեամբ եւ ուսուցչական կազմով, որուն դրոշմը կը տեսնենք, երբ աշակերտներէն իւրաքանչիւրը ուրախ դիմագիծով եւ բարձր տրամադրութեամբ կ'երգէ կամ կը նուագէ ազգային եւ հայրենասիրական երգեր։

The result of the performance is the tireless work of a year, when students also have a music teacher in addition to their teachers, when they learn songs and play brass instruments.

Ելոյթի արգասիքը անխոնջ աշխատանքն է մէկ տարուան , երբ աշակերտներ դասապահերու կողքին կ՚ունենան նաեւ երաժշտական դասապահ մը, երբ կը սորվին երգեր եւ կը նուագեն փողային նուագարաններ։

The school choir performances are eagerly awaited performances. Parents joyfully welcome their children, who enter the hall with a triumphant march and pride and decorate the stage of the Armenian center hall with trios.

Սպասուած ելոյթներ են դպրոցի երգչախմբային ներկայացումները. ծնողները ուրախութեամբ կը դիմաւորեն իրենց զաւակները, որոնք յաղթական քայլերթով եւ հպարտանքով մուտք կը գործեն սրահ ու եռեակներով կը զարդարեն հայ կեդրոնի սրահի բեմը։

All the school students perform accompanied by the piano, whose repertoire awakens memories of the past or sometimes sweet memories in the audience. How is it possible that the sound of a dozen brass instruments is so smooth, audible and pleasant? The students skillfully play, presenting the works of Armenian musicians to the audience, and in return they are appreciated with endless applause.

Դաշնամուրի ընկերակցութեամբ ելոյթ կ՚ունենան դպրոցի բոլոր աշակերտները, որոնց երգացանկը անցեալի յուշեր կամ երբեմն քաղցր յիշատակներ կ՚արթնցնէ հանդիսատեսին մօտ։ Ինչպէ՞ս կարելի է որ փողային տասնեակ մը նուագարաններու հնչեղութիւնը ըլլայ այդքան սահուն, լսելի եւ հաճելի։ Աշակերտները հմտօրէն կը նուագեն հանդիսատեսին հրամցնելով հայ երաժիշտներու ստեղծագործութիւնները, եւ փոխարէնը անսահման ծափողջոյններով կը գնահատուին։

It is impossible to talk about Armenianness and not mention the performances of the Hamazkayin following the student choir performances, which create great pride and joy in the audience, who will enjoy an Armenian performance every week, quenching their thirst and experiencing Armenian culture.

Կարելի չէ հայկականութեան մասին խօսիլ եւ չանդրադառնալ աշակերտական երգչախմբային ելոյթներու յաջորդող Համազգայինի ելոյթներուն, որոնք մեծ հպարտանք եւ հրճուանք կը ստեղծեն հանդիսատեսին մօտ, որ ամէն շաբաթ հայկական ելոյթ մը պիտի վայելէ յագեցնելով իր ծարաւը եւ վերապրելով հայ մշակոյթը։

Hamazkayin’s performances are presented to the audience with all their care. Adults and children perform patriotic songs with all seriousness and charming singing, which, by listening carefully and sometimes singing along with them, you experience the sweetness of Armenian songs and culture.

Համազգայինի ելոյթները ամենայն բծախնդրութեամբ կը հրամցուին հանդիսատեսին․ մեծահասակներն ու փոքրեր ամենայն լրջութեամբ եւ հմայիչ երգեցողութեամբ հանդէս կու գան հայրենասիրական երգերով, որոնք զգուշութեամբ լսելով, երբեմն իրենց հետ երգելով կ՚ապրիս հայ երգի եւ մշակոյթի քաղցրութիւնը։

Hamazkayin’s dance performances create different kinds of enthusiasm and enthusiasm among the audience. The circle dance and the fortress dance, the graceful dance and the solo dance performances instill a sense of pride and Armenian identity in the viewer. The flexible movements of the children and the artistic games of the adults are themselves the result of the consistent and meticulous work of the dance teacher and those responsible.

Համազգայինի պարային ելոյթները տարբեր խանդ ու եռանդ կը ստեղծեն հանդիսատեսին մօտ։ Շուրջպարն ու բերդ պարը, նազ պարն ու մենապարի ներկայացումները հպարտանքի եւ հայու լինելիութեան զգացումը կը սերմանեն դիտողին մօտ։ Փոքրերու ճկուն շարժումները, իսկ մեծերուն արուեստավարժ խաղերը ինքնին արդիւնքն են պարուսոյցի եւ պատասխանատուներու հետեւողական ու բծախնդիր աշխատանքին։

The Hamazkayin Student Elocution Competition is a permanent program for students, who participate in this competition with a special style of memorization and pronunciation, ensuring honorable results.

Համազգայինի աշակերտական արտասանական մրցաշարքը մնայուն ծրագիր է աշակերտութեան, որ անգիր եւ արտասանական յատուկ ոճով կը մասնակցի սոյն մրցոյթին ապահովելով պատուաբեր արդիւնքներ։

The annual student performances of the middle and high school grades serve as the final performance of the performances.

Ելոյթներու որպէս եզրափակիչ ներկայացում կը հանդիսանայ դպրոցական միջնակարգի եւ երկրորդականի տարեկան աշակերտական հանդէսները։

There is joy and excitement among everyone. A large number of students will graduate from the ARS Day School. The annual performance is enjoyed by students and parents. Every year, students give a performance with a special motto, opening words and messages. The top performers are awarded with an elocution prize and an essay prize. Witnesses, parents and guests enjoy the festive atmosphere. A beautiful evening filled with unforgettable memories. The celebration is characterized by Armenian music, the circle dance performed by the students with the same movements as the Yarkhusta, the pie of the day, which is the embodiment of Armenian art. To the sound of Armenian songs, students dance in high spirits and or sing Armenian songs, saying goodbye to the school, the administration and the teaching staff.

Խինդ ու բերկրանք կայ բոլորին մօտ։ Մեծ թիւով աշակերտներ շրջանաւարտ պիտի ըլլան ՀՕՄ-ի ամէնօրեայ վարժարանէն։ Տարեկան հանդէսը կը վայելէ աշակերտութեան եւ ծնողներու ներկայութիւնը։ Ամէն տարի յատուկ յատկանշական կարգախօսով, բացման խօսքերով եւ ուղերձներով ելոյթ կ՚ունենան աշակերտները։ Արտասանութեան մրցանակով եւ շարադրական նուէրով կը պարգեւատրուին առաջնակարգները։ Վկայուողներ, ծնողներ եւ հիւրեր կը վայելեն խրախճանքի մթնոլորտը։ Գեղեցիկ երեկոյ՝ անմոռանալի յիշատակներով լեցուն։ Խրախճանքին մէջ բնորոշուած է հայկական երաժշտութիւնը, Եարխուշտայի նոյնանման շարժումներով ներկայացուած շուրջպարը աշակերտութեանց կողմէ, օրուան կարկանդակը, որ հայկական արուեստի մարմնացումն է։ Հայ երգի հնչեղութեամբ աշակերտներ բարձր տրամադրութեամբ կը պարեն եւ կամ կ՚երգեն հայերէն երգեր՝ հրաժեշտ տալով դպրոցին, տնօրէնութեան եւ ուսուցչական կազմին։

The year has come to an end. During the two months, people will enjoy family vacations and summer trips. They will attend the summer festival in high spirits, where they will once again listen to and enjoy Armenian music performed by Armenian singers during the festivities.

Տարեշրջանը հասաւ իր աւարտին։ Երկու ամսուան ընթացքին մարդիկ պիտի վայելեն ընտանեկան արձակուրդներն ու ամառնային պտոյտները։ Բարձր տրամադրութեամբ պիտի ներկայանան ամառնային փառատօնին, ուր կերուխումին ընդմէջէն դարձեալ պիտի լսեն եւ վայելեն հայակական երաժշտութիւն հայ երգիչներու կատարողութեամբ։

Oceans away, on Canadian lands, we have the full right to remain, live and survive as Armenians. The possibilities of having a school, a center and a church and preserving Armenian culture are endless. You are free to speak, think and act in Armenian. A colony that is saturated with Armenianness. ֍

Ովկիանոսներ հեռու, գանատական հողերու վրայ ունինք ամբողջական իրաւունքը մնալու, ապրելու եւ գոյատեւելու որպէս հայ։ Անսահման է կարելիութիւնը ունենալ դպրոց, կեդրոն եւ եկեղեցի ու պահել հայ մշակոյթը։ Ազատ ես խօսելու, մտածելու եւ գործելու հայօրէն։ Գաղութ մը, որ հայկականութեամբ յագեցած է։ ֍
