Demography and human capital on Armenia's development agenda: Abisoghomonian

“On September 24, in New York, within the framework of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan participated and delivered a speech at the related event titled “Demographic Resilience: Investing in Human Capital for a Sustainable Future.”

«Սեպտեմբերի 24-ին Նյու Յորքում՝ ՄԱԿ ԳԱ 81-րդ նստաշրջանի շրջանակներում, ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի և միջազգային առևտրի նախարարի տեղակալ Ռոբերտ Աբիսողոմոնյանը մասնակցել և ելույթով հանդես է եկել «Ժողովրդագրական դիմակայունություն. ներդրումներ մարդկային կապիտալում՝ հանուն կայուն ապագայի» խորագրով հարակից միջոցառմանը։

In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the development of human capital and the protection of vulnerable groups are at the core of Armenia’s development priorities. This approach is also reflected in the Strategy for the Transformation of Armenia until 2050, the Action Plan of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, and the 2026-2030 Program.

Իր ելույթում ԱԳՄԱ նախարարի տեղակալն ընդգծել է, որ մարդկային կապիտալի զարգացումը և խոցելի խմբերի պաշտպանությունը Հայաստանի զարգացման առաջնահերթությունների առանցքում են։ Այս մոտեցումն արտացոլված է նաև Հայաստանի վերափոխման մինչև 2050թ. ռազմավարությունում, ՀՀ կառավարության գործողությունների ծրագրում և 2026-2030թթ. ծրագրում։

Deputy Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan highlighted the Armenia-UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2026-2030, the priorities of which include strengthening social protection and demographic resilience, decent work, gender equality, women’s empowerment, and protection of vulnerable groups.

Նախարարի տեղակալ Ռոբերտ Աբիսողոմոնյանը կարևորել է Հայաստան-ՄԱԿ կայուն զարգացման համագործակցության 2026-2030թթ. շրջանակը, որի առաջնահերթություններից են սոցիալական պաշտպանության և ժողովրդագրական դիմակայունության ամրապնդումը, արժանապատիվ աշխատանքը, գենդերային հավասարությունը, կանանց հնարավորությունների ընդլայնումն ու խոցելի խմբերի պաշտպանությունը։

The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Social Affairs touched upon the reforms being implemented in Armenia in the fields of social protection, education, and healthcare, aimed at increasing well-being and creating decent work opportunities. In this context, he highlighted the implementation of the Armenia Demographic Strategy for 2024-2040, developed with the support of the UN Population Fund, as a comprehensive and coordinated framework for strengthening demographic resilience,” the statement released by the Ministry of Social Affairs reads.

ԱԳՄԱ նախարարի տեղակալն անդրադարձել է սոցիալական պաշտպանության, կրթության և առողջապահության ոլորտներում Հայաստանում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներին՝ ուղղված բարեկեցության բարձրացմանն ու արժանապատիվ աշխատանքի հնարավորությունների ստեղծմանը։ Այս համատեքստում կարևորել է ՄԱԿ Բնակչության հիմնադրամի աջակցությամբ մշակված՝ Հայաստանի ժողովրդագրության 2024-2040թթ. ռազմավարության իրականացումը՝ որպես ժողովրդագրական դիմակայունության ամրապնդման համապարփակ և համակարգված շրջանակ»,- ասված է ԱԳՄԱ-ի տարածած հաղորդագրությունում։
