“We call on Russia to ensure the immediate, safe and unconditional return of all Ukrainian civilians arbitrarily detained, forcibly displaced or expelled from Ukraine, in particular children,” the statement says.

It should be recalled that the UN General Assembly, in its resolution “Support for Sustainable Peace in Ukraine”, adopted on February 24, 2026, called for an immediate, complete and unconditional ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. The same document also reaffirmed the demand for the release of those illegally detained and the return of civilians, including children, who have been forcibly transferred or expelled. The resolution was adopted by 107 votes to 12, with 51 abstentions.

Հիշեցնենք, որ ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեան 2026 թվականի փետրվարի 24-ին ընդունած «Աջակցություն Ուկրաինայում կայուն խաղաղությանը» բանաձևով կոչ է արել Ռուսաստանի և Ուկրաինայի միջև հաստատել անհապաղ, ամբողջական և անվերապահ հրադադար։ Նույն փաստաթղթում վերահաստատվել է նաև ապօրինի պահվող անձանց ազատ արձակման և բռնի տեղափոխված կամ արտաքսված խաղաղ բնակիչների, այդ թվում՝ երեխաների վերադարձի պահանջը։ Բանաձևն ընդունվել է 107 կողմ, 12 դեմ և 51 ձեռնպահ ձայներով։

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has also repeatedly called for an immediate, complete and unconditional ceasefire, viewing it as a first step towards achieving a just, sustainable and comprehensive peace.
