GLENDALE, CA – The Armenian community of Southern California is being called to unite on Sunday, November 8, 2026, for “United for Artsakh,” a community-wide rally, silent march, and candlelight vigil demanding freedom for Armenian hostages held in Azerbaijan, the right of return for displaced Artsakh Armenians, and justice for the people of Artsakh. The gathering will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the corner of Artsakh Street and Broadway in Glendale , followed by a silent march to St. Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church, where participants will gather for a candlelight vigil. The event seeks to bring together Armenians from across Southern California, regardless of organizational affiliation, political differences, or religious denomination, around a common national cause. All Armenian organizations, institutions, churches, schools, youth groups, and community associations are encouraged to participate and help mobilize their members. More than three years after Azerbaijan’s military assault and the forced displacement of Artsakh’s Armenian population, the unresolved questions of Armenian hostages, the right of return, and the future of Artsakh remain urgent national priorities. The November 8 gathering aims to reaffirm that these issues have not been forgotten and that the Armenian Diaspora remains committed to pursuing justice and defending the rights of the people of Artsakh. Organizers emphasize that “United for Artsakh” is a community-wide initiative , intended to provide a common platform for Armenian organizations and individuals to stand together. Organizations wishing to formally join the effort as organizing organizations are encouraged to contact the Armenian Youth Federation Western United States at ayf@ayfwest.org . The rally will also provide an opportunity for younger generations to demonstrate their commitment to Artsakh and for the broader community to send a united message that the Armenian people’s demands for justice, accountability, and the restoration of their rights remain unchanged. Community members are encouraged to register their attendance, invite family and friends, and help promote the gathering through their organizations and social networks.
