Houthis attack Dammam International Airport in Saudi Arabia

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia has officially confirmed that on the evening of October 11, King Fahd International Airport in the eastern city of Dammam was attacked.

The Yemeni Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement claimed responsibility, with its military spokesman, Yahya Sariyah, stating that the attack was carried out with a combination of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones.

There were no specific reports of casualties or injuries.

The attack was part of a wider escalation by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation infrastructure.

Just a day earlier, on October 10, a powerful attack was also carried out on the airport in the capital, Riyadh, which killed 12 people and injured more than 300.
