What happened in Shaki is another cruel reminder that peace is not a word, not a slogan, and not a self-deception of not seeing the danger.

Real peace is not established by covering up the truth and turning a blind eye to injustice.

Այն պահանջում է ճշմարտության ճանաչում, արդարություն և անմեղների պաշտպանություն։

It requires recognizing the truth, justice, and protecting the innocent.

And when the real danger is replaced by the self-deception of “everything is peaceful,” innocent people sometimes pay the price with their blood.
