Armenian pianist Hayk Arsenyan's album wins gold medal at European International Music Awards

The award was presented to them for their joint project, the digital single and album “Stratum,” which took first place in the “Best Contemporary Classical Duo Album” category.

Hayk Arsenyan wrote “Stratum” for a duet for piano and double bass.

Matt Herr commissioned it in memory of his father.

The musicians were inspired by medieval Armenian spiritual traditions.

Earlier, the “Stratum” project also won a silver medal at the Global Music Awards international competition for creativity and originality.

This award is awarded to independent musicians for unique achievements, original style and high performance skills.
