In Vanadzor, the issue of preventing violence against women was raised through a national dance: Human Rights Defender

On October 1, Zarine Hovhannisyan, Head of the Lori Regional Department of the Human Rights Defender’s Staff, participated in a public initiative organized by the “MENQ” Lori Regional Youth NGO in the “Mother and Child” Park in Vanadzor, the Ombudsman’s staff reported.

The goal of the initiative was to emphasize the importance of women’s mutual support, solidarity, and community unity through a national traditional dance, as well as to draw public attention to the need to prevent violence against women and form an intolerant attitude toward any manifestation of violence.

Նախաձեռնության նպատակն էր ազգային ավանդական պարի միջոցով ընդգծել կանանց փոխադարձ աջակցության, համերաշխության և համայնքային միասնության կարևորությունը, ինչպես նաև հանրության ուշադրությունը հրավիրել կանանց նկատմամբ բռնության կանխարգելման և բռնության ցանկացած դրսևորման նկատմամբ անհանդուրժողական վերաբերմունքի ձևավորման անհրաժեշտության վրա։

The event was also an opportunity to highlight the community’s involvement in protecting women’s rights, strengthening the culture of mutual respect and support.

The Human Rights Defender attaches importance to the prevention of all forms of violence against women, the effective protection of the rights of persons subjected to violence, as well as the formation of a culture of zero tolerance for violence in society.

Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը կարևորում է կանանց նկատմամբ բռնության բոլոր ձևերի կանխարգելումը, բռնության ենթարկված անձանց իրավունքների արդյունավետ պաշտպանությունը, ինչպես նաև հասարակությունում բռնության նկատմամբ զրոյական հանդուրժողականության մշակույթի ձևավորումը։
