The Ethics Commission under the Prosecutor General, at its session held on October 6, 2026, found the existence of facts of disciplinary violations in the actions of 3 prosecutors to be confirmed.

On June 15, September 3, and September 28, 2026, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against persons holding autonomous positions in the Prosecutor's Office of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan, the Kapan Garrison Military Prosecutor's Office, and the Shirak Regional Prosecutor's Office.

At a session held on October 6, 2026, the Ethics Commission under the Prosecutor General considered the existence of facts of disciplinary violations in the actions of 3 prosecutors to be confirmed.

Within the framework of the disciplinary proceedings, it was recorded that 2 of the prosecutors were absent from their workplace and court hearing without good reason, respectively, and the 3rd prosecutor, among other things, having received the materials of the criminal proceedings with an indictment and having studied them, did not record that it did not meet the requirements stipulated by the Criminal Procedure Code and approved it.

As a result, the wrong punishment was imposed on the person, and the prosecutor did not take any measures to detect this circumstance (in order to correct the judicial error, an appeal for exceptional review was filed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia on October 7, 2026).

By the decisions of the Prosecutor General of October 7, 2026, a disciplinary penalty of the type “reprimand” was applied to a person holding an autonomous position in the Prosecutor’s Office of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan, a disciplinary penalty of the type “demotion in class rank by one step” was applied to a person holding an autonomous position in the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Kapan Garrison, and a disciplinary penalty of the type “reprimand” was applied to a person holding an autonomous position in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Shirak Region.
