The ceremony of presenting a commemorative coin dedicated to COP17 took place

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia emphasized that the commemorative coin symbolizes not only the upcoming important international event, but also the responsibility assumed by Armenia to preside over a multilateral process of global importance and contribute to the strengthening of international cooperation. In this context, Armenia’s readiness to participate in the formation of global agendas and their promotion was emphasized.

ՀՀ ԱԳՄԱ նախարարի տեղակալն ընդգծել է, որ հուշադրամը խորհրդանշում է ոչ միայն առաջիկա կարևոր միջազգային իրադարձությունը, այլև Հայաստանի ստանձնած պատասխանատվությունը՝ նախագահելու համաշխարհային նշանակության բազմակողմ գործընթաց և նպաստելու միջազգային համագործակցության ամրապնդմանը։ Այս համատեքստում ընդգծվել է Հայաստանի պատրաստակամությունը մասնակցելու գլոբալ օրակարգերի ձևավորմանը և դրանց առաջմղմանը:

Robert Abisoghomonyan noted that within the framework of COP17, Yerevan will become an important platform for high-level political dialogue and international cooperation, bringing together representatives of states, international organizations and other interested parties around the global challenges of biodiversity conservation. It was emphasized that these challenges have long gone beyond the environmental agenda and are interconnected with food and water security, health, the economy, as well as the resilience of societies.

Ռոբերտ Աբիսողոմոնյանը նշել է, որ COP17-ի շրջանակներում Երևանը դառնալու է բարձր մակարդակի քաղաքական երկխոսության և միջազգային համագործակցության կարևոր հարթակ՝ համախմբելով պետությունների, միջազգային կազմակերպությունների և շահագրգիռ այլ կողմերի ներկայացուցիչներին կենսաբազմազանության պահպանության գլոբալ մարտահրավերների շուրջ։ Ընդգծվել է, որ այդ մարտահրավերները վաղուց արդեն դուրս են միայն բնապահպանական օրակարգի սահմաններից և փոխկապակցված են պարենային և ջրային անվտանգության, առողջության, տնտեսության, ինչպես նաև հասարակությունների դիմակայունության հետ։

Referring to the commemorative coin, Deputy Minister Robert Abisoghmonyan expressed hope that in years to come it will remind not only of the fact that Armenia hosted COP17 in 2026, but also of the fact that Yerevan has become a platform for dialogue, cooperation and joint action.

Անդրադառնալով հուշադրամի խորհրդին՝ նախարարի տեղակալ Ռոբերտ Աբիսողմոնյանը հույս է հայտնել, որ տարիներ անց այն կհիշեցնի ոչ միայն այն մասին, որ 2026թ. Հայաստանը հյուրընկալել է COP17-ը, այլև այն մասին, որ Երևանը դարձել է երկխոսության, համագործակցության և համատեղ գործողության հարթակ։

Opening remarks were delivered at the event by the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia Martin Galstyan and the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Hambardzum Matevosyan.
