Catholicos receives senior advisor to the White House Office of Faith Affairs

After the sacred ceremony, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received the Senior Advisor to the White House Office of Faith Affairs in the Grand Chamber.

Սրբազան արարողությունից հետո Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն Վեհարանում ընդունեց Սպիտակ տան հավատքի հարցերով գրասենյակի ավագ խորհրդականին։

His Holiness welcomed the guest’s visit to Armenia and the spiritual center of all Armenians, noting it as a good opportunity to get to know the country that first declared Christianity its state religion, the Armenian people, and their rich spiritual and cultural heritage. His Holiness also expressed his satisfaction with the efforts made by Ms. White-Kane in organizing the meeting of President Donald Trump and the Armenian spiritual leaders of the United States.

Նորին Սրբությունը ողջունեց հյուրի այցը Հայաստան և համայն հայության հոգևոր կենտրոն՝ այն նկատելով պատեհ առիթ՝ ի մոտո ճանաչելու քրիստոնեությունն առաջինը պետական կրոն հռչակած երկիրը, հայ ժողովրդին ու նրա հոգևոր-մշակութային հարուստ ժառանգությունը։ Վեհափառ Հայրապետը գոհունակություն հայտնեց նաև նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի և ԱՄՆ հայ հոգևոր առաջնորդների հանդիպման կազմակերպման գործում տիկին Ուայթ-Քեյնի ներդրած ջանքերի առնչությամբ։

The interlocutors emphasized the role of religion and spiritual values in building a secure, prosperous and progressive life for peoples. It was emphasized that faith in God should be manifested in love, justice and care for one’s neighbor, strengthening universal solidarity and peaceful coexistence. In this regard, the joint efforts of spiritual leaders were emphasized in favor of establishing peace in the world and a bright future for peoples.

Զրուցակիցներն ընդգծեցին կրոնի և հոգևոր արժեքների դերը ժողովուրդների ապահով, բարօր ու առաջընթաց կյանքի կերտման գործում։ Շեշտվեց, որ առ Աստված հավատքը պետք է դրսևորվի սիրով, արդարությամբ և մերձավորի հանդեպ հոգածությամբ՝ ամրապնդելով համամարդկային համերաշխությունն ու խաղաղ համակեցությունը։ Այս առնչությամբ կարևորվեց հոգևոր առաջնորդների համատեղ ջանքերը՝ ի նպաստ աշխարհում խաղաղության հաստատման և ժողովուրդների լուսավոր գալիքի։

In turn, Mrs. White-Kane thanked His Holiness for the warm welcome and shared her impressions of the Holy Liturgy, emphasizing the deep reverence and spiritual peace experienced during the sacred ceremony. The guest also touched upon the rich Christian heritage of Armenia with gratitude, as a living testimony to the faith of the Armenian people.

Իր հերթին տիկին Ուայթ-Քեյնը շնորհակալություն հայտնեց Նորին Սրբությանը ջերմ ընդունելության համար և կիսվեց Սուրբ Պատարագից ստացած իր տպավորություններով` ընդգծելով սրբազան արարողության ընթացքում ապրած խոր ակնածանքն ու հոգևոր խաղաղությունը։ Հյուրը երախտագիտությամբ անդրադարձավ նաև Հայաստանի հարուստ քրիստոնեական ժառանգությանը, որպես հայ ժողովրդի հավատքի կենդանի վկայություն։
