The Armenian Community of the Capital Region and the UNLP launched a free Armenian language course

The course, aimed at young people and adults, is offered online and free of charge between September and November 2026. It is part of the outreach project “The Armenian Community of the Capital Region (Berisso, La Plata, and Ensenada): Institutional History, Language Transmission, and Knowledge of Armenian Society.”

La propuesta, destinada a jóvenes y adultos, se desarrolla de manera virtual y gratuita entre septiembre y noviembre de 2026. Forma parte del proyecto de extensión “La Colectividad Armenia Región Capital (Berisso, La Plata y Ensenada): historia institucional, transmisión de la lengua y conocimiento de la sociedad armenia”.

The language course is the first of the modules planned within the initiative. The program will be completed with sessions dedicated to the history and relationships of the Armenian community in the region and to the history and international relations of Armenia, which will begin between September and October.

El curso de idioma constituye el primero de los módulos previstos dentro de la iniciativa. El programa se completará con espacios dedicados a la historia y las relaciones de la colectividad armenia de la región y a la historia y las relaciones internacionales de Armenia, que comenzarán entre septiembre y octubre.

The Armenian Community of the Capital Region stated that the start of the classes represents "the first step in a project that is already underway" and emphasized that the initiative aims to help keep alive "the language, culture, and traditions of the Armenian people."

Desde la Colectividad Armenia Región Capital señalaron que el comienzo de las clases representa “el primer paso de un proyecto que ya comenzó a rodar” y destacaron que la iniciativa busca contribuir a mantener vivas “la lengua, la cultura y las tradiciones del pueblo armenio”.

"We invite you not only to learn a few words of the language, but also to get to know a people: the Armenian people," the organization stated.

“Los invitamos no solo a aprender unas palabras del idioma, sino a conocer a un pueblo: el pueblo armenio”, expresaron desde la institución.
