An anniversary that turned into a powerful ode of love and praise to Armenia

The evening once again proved that he is a multi-genre, multi-talented and unique personality both in the creative sphere and in the performing arts. The proof was the choral, children's, jazz, vocal-instrumental works performed during the evening, many of which were performed in Armenia for the first time, and the Maestro sometimes acted as a conductor, sometimes as a pianist, and of course, more as a simple listener - sometimes moved, sometimes enchanted...

Երեկոն մեկ անգամ ևս փաստեց, որ նա ինչպես ստեղծագործական ոլորտում, այնպես էլ կատարողական արվեստում բազմաժանր, բազմատաղանդ և ինքնատիպ անհատականություն է։ Ապացույցը երեկոյի ընթացքում հնչած խմբերգային, մանկական, ջազային, վոկալ-գործիքային ստեղծագործություններն էին, որոնցից շատերը Հայաստանում հնչում էին առաջին անգամ, և Մաեստրոն մեկ հանդես էր գալիս որպես խմբավար, մեկ որպես դաշնակահար, և իհարկե, ավելի շատ որպես պարզ ունկնդիր՝ երբեմն հուզված, երբեմն՝ հմայված…

The series of arrangements of folk songs "Native Bells" performed by the State Chamber Choir of Armenia (artistic director and conductor: People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Robert Mlkeyan) sounded with deep expressiveness and delicate sensitivity. The composition "Tiramayr" written with the words of Archbishop Nerses Pozapalyan, performed by soprano Sofia Melkumyan (accompanist: Nvard Aloyan), spread through the hall like a heartfelt prayer. "Vocalise" written for a four-part choir was also performed for the first time in Armenia, and the song "Azg Haykazian" (lyrics by Gevorg Karapetyan), created after the 1988 Spitak earthquake, seemed to be a message of hope, revival, and indestructibility to the people who had experienced the devastating earthquake.

Խոր արտահայտչականությամբ և նուրբ զգացմունքայնությամբ հնչեց կոմիտասաշունչ «Հայրենի ղողանջներ» ժողովրդական երգերի մշակումների շարքը՝ Հայաստանի պետական կամերային երգչախմբի կատարմամբ (գեղարվեստական ղեկավար և խմբավար՝ ՀՀ ժողովրդական արտիստ Ռոբերտ Մլքեյան)։ Սրտառուչ աղոթքի պես դահլիճում տարածվեց Ներսես արքեպիսկոպոս Պոզապալյանի խոսքերով գրված «Տիրամայր» ստեղծագործությունը` սոպրանո Սոֆյա Մելքումյանի կատարմամբ (նվագակցող՝ Նվարդ Ալոյան)։ Հայաստանում առաջին անգամ կատարվեց նաև քառաձայն երգչախմբի համար գրված «Վոկալիզը», իսկ 1988-ի Սպիտակի երկրաշարժից հետո ստեղծված «Ազգ Հայկազեան» երգը (խոսք՝ Գևորգ Կարապետյանի) կարծես հույսի, վերածննդի ու անկորնչելիության պատգամ էր կործանարար երկրաշարժն ապրած ժողովրդին։

The composer's bright and light-hearted children's works "Tiezerk" and "Chocolate Clock" (lyrics by Aramayis Sahakyan) were very vividly and artistically performed by the students of the "Arevik" children's and youth ensemble of the Public Radio of Armenia (artistic director: Vahe Hayrapetyan).

Կոմպոզիտորի մանկական պայծառ ու թեթևաշունչ «Տիեզերք» և «Շոկոլադե ժամացույցը» (խոսք՝ Արամայիս Սահակյանի) ստեղծագործությունները շատ պատկերավոր ու արտիստիկ մատուցեցին Հայաստանի հանրային ռադիոյի «Արևիկ» մանկապատանեկան համույթի սաները (գեղարվեստական ղեկավար՝ Վահե Հայրապետյան)։

The hall was greatly excited by the performances of the composer's jazz works, which were performed by the State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia (conductor: David Melkonyan). The works “Concerto for Voice and Orchestra” (soloist: Anna Vardazaryan), as well as “Gyumri” and “Garni”, “Variations for Flugerholn and Orchestra” (soloist: Daniel Melkonyan) were performed.

Դահլիճը մեծ ոգևորություն ապրեց կոմպոզիտորի ջազային ստեղծագործությունների կատարումներից, որով հանդես եկավ Հայաստանի պետական ջազ նվագախումբը (ղեկավար՝ Դավիթ Մելքոնյան)։ Հնչեցին «Կոնցերտ ձայնի և նվագախմբի համար» (մենակատար՝ Աննա Վարդազարյան), ինչպես նաև «Գյումրի» և «Գառնի», «Վարիացիաներ ֆլյուգերհոլնի և նվագախմբի համար» (մենակատար՝ Դանիել Մելքոնյան) ստեղծագործությունները։

This vast, multi-genre and extensive musical panorama reveals the talent, originality, mastery, boundless dedication to his calling, his origin and nationality of the composer Konstantin Petrosyan. All these descriptions can be multiplied in the case of only one of his works, the epic song “Armenia” (lyrics by Nansen Mikaelyan), which this time was performed by tenor Tigran Hakobyan, accompanied by the State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia, the State Chamber Choir, and the maestro himself at the piano… The evening ended with that song, but the mood and impact created by the song did not end. I am sure that, like me, the rest of the attendees also returned home, holding that song firmly in their souls and ears, a song that always and everywhere sounds as a powerful ode of love, praise, as a bow, prayer and oath to Armenia…

Երաժշտական այս հսկայական, բազմաժանր և ծավալուն համապատկերն ի հայտ է բերում Կոնստանտին Պետրոսյան ստեղծագործողի տաղանդը, ինքնատիպությունը, վարպետությունը, անսահման նվիրումն իր կոչումին, իր ծագումին և ազգային պատկանելությանը։ Այս բոլոր բնութագրումները կարող են բազմապատկվել նրա միայն մեկ ստեղծագործության՝ «Հայաստան» (խոսք՝ Նանսեն Միքայելյանի) էպիկական երգի պարագայում, որն այս անգամ հնչեց տենոր Տիգրան Հակոբյանի կատարմամբ՝ Հայաստանի պետական ջազ նվագախմբի, Պետական կամերային երգչախմբի նվագակցությամբ, իսկ դաշնամուրի մոտ՝ ինքը մաեստրոն էր… Այդ երգով ավարտվեց երեկոն, բայց չավարտվեց երգի ստեղծած տրամադրությունն ու ազդեցությունը։ Վստահ եմ, որ ինչպես ես, մնացած ներկաները նույնպես տուն վերադարձան՝ իրենց հոգու և ունկերի մեջ ամուր պահած այդ երգը, երգ, որը միշտ և ամենուր հնչում է որպես սիրո, փառաբանության հզոր ձոն, որպես խոնարհում, աղոթք ու երդում՝ առ Հայաստան…
