He says he learned about the incident in the village when he saw the injured woman’s daughter crying. Not long after, police cars and an ambulance arrived in the village, which transported the injured woman to a medical facility.

According to the resident, after shooting the woman, the Azerbaijani soldier fled through the yards and vegetable gardens of the houses.

Բնակչի խոսքով՝ կնոջ վրա կրակելուց հետո ադրբեջանցի զինծառայողը փախել է տների բակերով ու բանջարանոցներով։

“He entered through that yard, passed the vegetable garden, opened the gate, entered the neighbor’s yard, and then jumped to the other side… They pulled him out of Armik’s barn,” the resident said.

«Այդ բակով մտել է, անցել բոստանը, դարպասը բացել, մտել հարևանի բակ, հետո թռել մյուս կողմը… Արմիկենց գոմի միջից են հանել իրեն»,- ասաց բնակիչը։

According to him, the villagers also wanted to join the search.

“We were on the other side with our hunting rifles, three of us, but they wouldn’t let us go forward. The police and military were all here, and they caught us,” he said.

«Մենք էլ մեր որսորդական հրացաններով այն կողմում էինք՝ երեք հոգով, բայց մեզ չէին թողնում առաջ գնալ։ Ոստիկանները, զինվորականները բոլորն այստեղ էին, իրենք էլ բռնեցին»,- ասաց նա։

It should be noted that the Prosecutor’s Office had informed that a criminal case had been initiated on October 1, 2026, in the Shaki settlement of the Sisian community of the Syunik region, on charges of causing serious harm to health by use of a weapon, illegal circulation of firearms, and violation of the inviolability of the apartment. Later, another case was initiated on charges of illegally crossing the state border and smuggling firearms, which was joined to the already existing case.
