The 44-day war was also followed by the occupation aggressions of the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia by Azerbaijan. The war seriously changed the security system and perceptions of Armenia as a whole. Today, there are no shots fired on the RA-Azerbaijani border; the parties declare their intention to make peace and sign an agreement.

Վեց տարի առաջ այս օրերին սկսվեց 44-օրյա պատերազմը, որն ավարտվեց հայկական կողմի պարտությամբ և, ի վերջո, Արցախի կորստով։ Հայկական բանակը կրեց ծանր կորուստներ։ 44-օրյային հաջորդեցին նաև Ադրբեջանի կողմից ՀՀ-ի սուվերեն տարածքների օկուպացիոն ագրեսիաները։ Պատերազմը լրջորեն փոխեց Հայաստանի անվտանգային համակարգն ու պատկերացումներն ամբողջությամբ։ Այսօր ՀՀ-Ադրբեջան սահմանին կրակոցներ չկան․ կողմերը հայտարարում են խաղաղության գնալու և պայմանագիր կնքելու մտադրության մասին։
