The European Union's Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Magdalena Crono, has stated that she would not dispute the historical Armenian presence and rich cultural heritage in the regions of Artsakh that were affected by the former conflict.

Chrono emphasizes that the Armenian presence in the Artsakh regions is indisputable

The European Union’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Magdalena Crono, has stated that she does not dispute the historical presence and rich heritage of the Armenians in the regions of Artsakh, which were affected by the former conflict.

During her visit to the Matenadaran, she emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage, noting it as both a component of peace processes and a fundamental value for the EU.

Մատենադարան կատարած այցելութեան ընթացքին ան ընդգծած է մշակութային ժառանգութեան պահպանման կարեւորութիւնը՝ զայն նկատելով թէ՛ խաղաղութեան գործընթացներու բաղադրիչ, թէ՛ ԵՄ-ի համար հիմնարար արժէք։

Crono also addressed the criticism surrounding her previous statements, noting that having personally visited Gandzasar and Dadivank, she is convinced of the existence of Armenian heritage and stressed that this heritage must be preserved, free from political speculation.
