I loved Lebanon’s Independence Day very much, because November 22 was the first holiday after the revolution.
Լիբանանի անկախութեան տօնը շատ կը սիրէի, քանի որ վերամուտէն ետք Նոյեմբեր 22-ը առաջին արձակուրդի օրն էր։
No more, no less.
Ոչ աւելի, ոչ պակաս։
Later, in my history class, I learned how and when independence was achieved.
Հետագային պատմութեան դասապահին սորվեցայ, թէ ինչպէս եւ երբ իրականացաւ անկախութիւնը։
To be honest, I had learned those details by rote, simply with the intention of getting a good grade in a paper.
Անկեղծ ըլամ.
I had never really thought seriously about what a country’s independence was worth.
այդ մանրամասնութիւններն ալ սորված էի թութակաբար, պարզապէս գրաւորի մը յաջող նիշ ստանալու մտադրութեամբ։
