Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the US Chargé d'Affaires

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the newly appointed Charge d’Affaires of the United States of America in Georgia, Courtney Ostrian.

Էկոնոմիկայի և կայուն զարգացման նախարար Մարիամ Քվրիվիշվիլին հանդիպել է Վրաստանում Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների գործերի նորանշանակ ժամանակավոր հավատարմատար Քորթնի Օսթրիանին։

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, the Minister congratulated the Charge d’Affaires on the start of her diplomatic mission in Georgia and wished her success in her future activities.

Էկոնոմիկայի նախարարության լրատվական ծառայության տարածած հաղորդագրության համաձայն՝ նախարարը շնորհավորել է գործերի ժամանակավոր հավատարմատարին Վրաստանում դիվանագիտական առաքելության մեկնարկի առթիվ և հաջողություն մաղթել հետագա գործունեության մեջ։

“At the meeting, the parties discussed the priority areas of cooperation between Georgia and the United States. Including the prospects for the future development of relations in such areas as bilateral trade, energy, transport and logistics, investments, strengthening connectivity, etc.

«Հանդիպմանը կողմերը քննարկել են Վրաստանի և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև համագործակցության առաջնահերթ ուղղությունները։ Այդ թվում՝ հարաբերությունների ապագա զարգացման հեռանկարներն այնպիսի ոլորտներում, ինչպիսիք են երկկողմ առևտուրը, էներգետիկան, տրանսպորտը և լոգիստիկան, ներդրումները, կապակցվածության ամրապնդումը և այլն։

Attention was drawn to the importance of the Middle Corridor in terms of strengthening connectivity in the region, and Georgia’s readiness to serve the growing cargo traffic between Asia and Europe. The Georgian side spoke in detail about the government’s strategic vision to develop its own transport and logistics infrastructure and thereby contribute to increasing the country’s competitiveness in the Middle Corridor. Projects such as the Anaklia deep-sea port, the modernization of the railway, the East-West highway, the construction of a new airport in Tbilisi and the development of the country's aviation infrastructure in general were highlighted.

Ուշադրություն է հրավիրվել Միջին միջանցքի կարևորության վրա՝ տարածաշրջանում կապակցվածության ամրապնդման տեսանկյունից, և Վրաստանի պատրաստակամությանը՝ սպասարկելու Ասիայի և Եվրոպայի միջև աճող բեռնափոխադրումները։ Վրացական կողմը մանրամասն խոսել է սեփական տրանսպորտային-լոգիստիկ ենթակառուցվածքները զարգացնելու և դրանով իսկ Միջին միջանցքում երկրի մրցունակության բարձրացմանը նպաստելու կառավարության ռազմավարական պատկերացման մասին։ Ընդգծվել են այնպիսի նախագծեր, ինչպիսիք են Անակլիայի խորջրյա նավահանգիստը, երկաթուղու արդիականացումը, Արևելք-Արևմուտք ավտոմայրուղին, Թբիլիսիի նոր օդանավակայանի կառուցումը և ընդհանուր առմամբ երկրի ավիացիոն ենթակառուցվածքների զարգացումը։

The parties also spoke about the Black Sea submarine energy cable project and the development of green energy in the country in general.

Կողմերը խոսել են նաև Սև ծովի ստորջրյա էներգետիկ կաբելի նախագծի և ընդհանուր առմամբ երկրի կանաչ էներգետիկայի զարգացման մասին։

It was emphasized that the Middle Corridor is now and will remain one of the safest transit routes in the future.

Շեշտվել է, որ Միջին միջանցքը այժմ կա և ապագայում էլ կմնա ամենաանվտանգ տարանցիկ երթուղիներից մեկը։

The meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development Gennady Arveladze and Tamar Ioseliani, ”the ministry said in a statement.

Հանդիպմանը մասնակցել են Էկոնոմիկայի և կայուն զարգացման նախարարի տեղակալներ Գենադի Արվելաձեն և Թամար Իոսելիանին»,- նշված է նախարարության տարածած հաղորդագրության մեջ։
