The topic was discussed during a meeting between Deputy Defense Secretary Andrew Loomis and Armenian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Edvard Asrayan in Yerevan on Thursday The two sides discussed Armenia-U.S. cooperation in the defense sector and welcomed the current level of engagement, Defense Ministry spokesperson Aram Torosyan said in a statement published on Facebook. “They highlighted the importance of developing cooperation in peacekeeping, the training of professional non-commissioned officers, instructors and junior commanders, military education, as well as joint military exercises and training activities, among other areas,” Torosyan added.
