October 30, 2026 Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that his goal is to complete his term in office with a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan already signed and ratified. Commenting on statements coming from Azerbaijan, Pashinyan noted that numerous reasons arise every day, both within Armenia and beyond its borders, that could divert the country from its peace agenda. However, he emphasized that Armenia’s strategy is to remain committed to its chosen course and consistently move toward establishing peace, Auroranews.am reports. The prime minister stressed that if the peace agreement is not signed and ratified during his time in office, he will regard it as a personal failure.
