Armenia has one of the oldest winemaking traditions in the world, dating back more than 6,000 years, yet its wines remain relatively unknown abroad. A new initiative, Armenian Wine Week, runs from November 8 to 14 and asks Armenians worldwide to introduce Armenian wines to their non-Armenian friends. Vahe Baloulian, who started the initiative, joins CivilNet to discuss the campaign, the challenges facing Armenia's wine industry, and its potential to reach new international markets. Baloulian is a co-founder of In Vino wine bar, the Club restaurant and Cultural Center, and Trinity Canyon Vineyards.
