This production is a true emotional journey through the life and extraordinary career of Charles Aznavour. Audiences are transported back to a bygone era, reliving the magic and essence of Parisian bohemia. Led by renowned performer Jules Grison, the show achieves the remarkable feat of recreating the enchanting atmosphere of the bustling streets of the French capital, where Aznavour drew his inspiration. Each song becomes a piece of the puzzle of his life, from his humble beginnings to his international acclaim. The son of Armenian refugees, Charles Aznavour, arguably became one of France’s greatest exports who enjoyed an exceptional worldwide career. Described by critics as “An inaudible voice and a difficult physique,” Aznavour gained the public’s unyielding support through his originality. Aznavour worked with Charles Trenet and the “Môme” Edith Piaf, who took young Aznavour along on her tours to the United States and later – Montreal. Becoming an accomplished artist and a keen observer of humanity, Aznavour was a master interpreter of love and the passing of time, his two favorite themes. Aznavour lived to 94, known as a performer of thousands of songs, an actor in over 80 films and television projects, and an author of more than 800 songs that were covered by artists including Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Ray Charles, Shirley Bassey and Elvis Costello, and sampled by everyone from Dr. Dre and Nas to Bad Bunny and HUGEL.
