Bulgaria reports drone attack on two ships off its coast

Prime Minister Rumen Radev said the Chelsea 3 merchant ship, sailing under the Maltese flag and registered in the port of Odessa, was attacked by three drones overnight about 15 nautical miles off the Bulgarian coastal city of Byala.

One crew member was rescued from the sunken ship, and the search and rescue operation is ongoing.

“Another attack right in Bulgarian territorial waters.

"This is completely unacceptable," Radev said.

According to him, there is still no clear evidence of who carried out the attack, but, he claims, its outcome is beneficial to the Russian Federation.

Radev expressed his intention to discuss the incident with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and summon the Russian ambassador.
