During the meeting, Ishkhan Saghatelyan expressed his gratitude to Olivier Faure for his long-term pro-Armenian activities, highly appreciating the warm and fraternal relations between the Socialist Party of France and the ARF Dashnaktsutyun, which have a history of decades.

The interlocutors exchanged information on the challenges faced by the two parties, discussed the steps aimed at internationalizing the issues of the right of return of the Armenians of Artsakh, the release of Armenian prisoners and hostages held in Azerbaijani prisons, as well as the protection of the cultural heritage of Artsakh.

Կողմերը ձեռք են բերել պայմանավորվածություններ՝ տարբեր ոլորտներում քաղաքական երկխոսությունն ու համագործակցությունն առավել խորացնելու վերաբերյալ։

The parties reached agreements on further deepening political dialogue and cooperation in various fields.

Հանդիպումից հետո Ֆրանսիայի Սոցիալիստական կուսակցության ղեկավարն իր X-ի միկրոբլոգում անդրադարձել է քննարկված առանցքային թեմաներին՝ անդրադառնալով նաև Հայաստանի ներքաղաքական իրավիճակին.

After the meeting, the head of the French Socialist Party reflected on the key topics discussed in his X microblog, also touching upon the domestic political situation in Armenia.

“Together with my colleague from the Dashnaktsutyun party (Socialist Party of Armenia) Ishkhan Saghatelyan and member of the Bureau of that party, co-chair of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France (CCAF) Murad Papazyan, we discussed the tragic fate of Armenian hostages held in Azerbaijani prisons, the right of return of Artsakh Armenians, as well as the political situation in Armenia, where the current authorities, under Turkish and Azerbaijani pressure, are inclined to make concessions even on the issue of their own Constitution.”
