Aleksanyan, do you really want to buy a ticket to Kaluga?

Fly to Kaluga, see Kaluga.

At the National Assembly session, opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan addressed the speech of NA Deputy Speaker, government MP Vahagn Aleksanyan, and the government’s purchases within the framework of COP17.

Abrahamyan noted that the opposition partners presented the abuses allowed in the contracts and possible corruption risks, but instead of substantive answers, Vahagn Aleksanyan again touched on the topic of “Kaluga.”

At the session of the National Assembly, opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan touched upon the speech of the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, a government MP Vahagn Aleksanyan, and the purchases made by the Government within the framework of COP17.

Abrahamyan noted that the opposition colleagues presented the abuses allowed in the contracts and possible corruption risks, but Vahagn Aleksanyan, instead of substantive answers, again touches on the topic of “Kaluga”.

Aleksanyan, do you really want to go to Kaluga?

Let’s buy a ticket, fly, see Kaluga for a while, what’s there?

Go for a while, walk around, relax for a while.

What’s the problem?

Do you constantly (touch on) the topic of Kaluga?

Does it hurt you?”

Abrahamyan stated.

Referring to the explanations of Deputy Minister of State for Economic Cooperation and Development Robert Abisoghomonyan, the MP criticized him for not having clear information about the expenditures made from the state budget.

According to Abrahamyan, the deputy minister initially mentioned only the amount of money transferred to the secretariat, and answered questions about other contracts that he was not aware of it.

“When a government representative comes here and presents something, he must be clearly accountable to the legislator.”

Concluding his speech, Tigran Abrahamyan urged the government representatives to draw the necessary conclusions from the issues raised by the opposition and to appear at the next sessions with clear explanations, rather than “constantly singing the same old song.”
