By saying history, we mainly understand what happened in the past.

Պատմություն ասելով հիմնականում հասկանում ենք այն, ինչ տեղի է ունեցել անցյալում։

Isn’t this a fundamental problem: if history has already happened, what else can we do?

Մի՞թե սա հիմնարար խնդիր չէ․ եթե պատմությունն արդեն տեղի է ունեցել, մենք այլեւս ի՞նչ կարող ենք անել։

Or even if we can do something, it is an attempt to reproduce the past today and thus change it, but in practice it is impossible to change what has already happened.

Կամ եթե նույնիսկ ինչոր բան կարող ենք անել, դա անցյալն այսօր վերարտադրելու եւ այսպիսով դա փոխելու փորձն է, բայց գործնականում հնարավոր չէ փոխել այն, ինչ արդեն տեղի է ունեցել։

What to do then?

There is only one solution: by saying history, we mean not what has already happened, but what should happen. This perception makes us full authors of history, because it is being created now and must be created tomorrow.

Լուծումը մեկն է․ պատմություն ասելով նկատի ունենալ ոչ թե այն, ինչ արդեն տեղի է ունեցել, այլ այն, ինչ պետք է տեղի ունենա։ Այս ընկալումը մեզ դարձնում է պատմության լիարժեք հեղինակ, որովհետեւ այն ստեղծվում է հիմա եւ պետք է ստեղծվի վաղը։

And what is it that happened in the past? It is historical experience, historical experience, which is a practical manual on what to do and what not to do in order not to repeat history.

Իսկ ի՞նչ է այն, որ տեղի է ունեցել անցյալում։ Դա պատմական փորձառությունն է, պատմական փորձը, որը գործնական ձեռնարկ է այն մասին, թե ինչ անել եւ ինչ չանել պատմությունը չկրկնելու համար։

The history that the citizen of Armenia is creating today is unique in that. It has never happened before and perhaps for the first time we are history creators and not reproducers.

Այն պատմությունը, որն այսօր ստեղծում է ՀՀ քաղաքացին, դրանով է առանձնահատուկ։ Այն նախկինում երբեք տեղի չի ունեցել եւ թերեւս առաջին անգամ է, որ մենք պատմություն ստեղծող ենք եւ ոչ թե վերարտադրող։

History is no longer what happened, history is what should happen. And what should happen is the implementation of the strategy of a lasting state, with the vision of a Free and Happy Armenia.

Պատմությունն այլեւս այն չէ, որ տեղի ունեցել, պատմությունն այն է, որ պետք է տեղի ունենա։ Իսկ պետք է տեղի ունենա հարատեւ պետության ռազմավարության իրագործումը, Ազատ եւ Երջանիկ Հայաստանի տեսլականով։
