A new biometric passport system will be introduced in Armenia from November 1. The government presents this as a step to modernize passport services and comply with European standards. However, the new system raises many questions.

Why is the state entrusting part of this work to a private company, who will monitor the protection of citizens' personal data, and can the state fully guarantee their security?

Ինչո՞ւ է պետությունը այս գործի մի մասը վստահում մասնավոր ընկերության, ո՞վ է վերահսկելու քաղաքացիների անձնական տվյալների պաշտպանությունը, և արդյո՞ք պետությունը կարող է լիարժեք երաշխավորել դրանց անվտանգությունը։
