"Izvestia": Varos Simonyan may be involved in the provision of fake certificates

The Russian newspaper Izvestia has published an investigation, according to which the Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission Varos Simonyan may be involved in the system of issuing fake certificates of conformity of products.

Ռուսական «Իզվեստիա» թերթը հրապարակել է հետաքննություն, ըստ որի՝ Եվրասիական տնտեսական հանձնաժողովի նախարար Վարոս Սիմոնյանը կարող է առնչություն ունենալ ապրանքների համապատասխանության կեղծ հավաստագրերի տրամադրման համակարգին։

According to the newspaper, some laboratories in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan issued certificates of conformity of products without the necessary tests.

Պարբերականի տվյալներով՝ Հայաստանի և Ղրղզստանի որոշ լաբորատորիաներ ապրանքների համապատասխանության հավաստագրեր են տրամադրել առանց անհրաժեշտ փորձարկումների։

According to the publication, criminal cases have been initiated in connection with about 15 thousand certificates. The investigation included 11 laboratories, 10 of which are in Kyrgyzstan, and one in Armenia.

Հրապարակման համաձայն՝ շուրջ 15 հազար հավաստագրի առնչությամբ հարուցվել են քրեական գործեր։ Քննության շրջանակում հայտնվել է 11 լաբորատորիա, որոնցից 10-ը՝ Ղրղզստանում, մեկը՝ Հայաստանում։

Izvestia’s sources suggest that Simonyan could have supported the protection of the interests of these organizations and hindered the full implementation of the EAEU unified information system.

«Իզվեստիա»-ի աղբյուրները ենթադրում են, որ Սիմոնյանը կարող էր աջակցել այդ կազմակերպությունների շահերի պաշտպանությանը և խոչընդոտել ԵԱՏՄ միասնական տեղեկատվական համակարգի ամբողջական ներդրմանը։

Let us recall that Varos Simonyan held the position of Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia in 2019–2021. He was relieved of that position in October 2021, and on November 24, upon Armenia's proposal, he was appointed a member of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, a minister. Prior to that, he also worked in the system of Armenia's trade representation to the European Union.

Հիշեցնենք, որ Վարոս Սիմոնյանը 2019–2021 թվականներին զբաղեցրել է Հայաստանի էկոնոմիկայի նախարարի տեղակալի պաշտոնը։ 2021 թվականի հոկտեմբերին ազատվել է այդ պաշտոնից, իսկ նոյեմբերի 24-ին Հայաստանի առաջարկությամբ նշանակվել Եվրասիական տնտեսական հանձնաժողովի կոլեգիայի անդամ՝ նախարար։ Մինչ այդ նա աշխատել է նաև Եվրոպական միությունում Հայաստանի առևտրային ներկայացուցչության համակարգում։
