Happy holiday, city-mother Yerevan. It is impossible not to love Yerevan, with its history, unique color and warmth of people. Our Yerevan has always been open to the world, but it has never lost its Armenian face and identity. It has been preserved by the people of Yerevan with their compassion, hard work and the will to overcome difficult times with honor. The 2808-year-old history of Yerevan is the pride of our Armenians, and the future is our responsibility. Yerevan is not just for enjoyment. Loving also means being able to care for, preserve and develop it. Our capital deserves great thinking and great plans. We must end the urban terror, preserve the soul of old Yerevan and build a modern, green, economically powerful city where it is convenient to live, work and raise children. One thing remains unchanged: Yerevan is not just a city. It has been and will remain the center of thought, culture, power and great changes for all Armenians. Տոնդ շնորհավո՛ր, քաղաքամա՛յր Երևան։Երևանն անհնար է չսիրել՝ իր պատմությամբ, անկրկնելի կոլորիտով ու մարդկանց ջերմությամբ։Մեր Երևանը միշտ բաց է եղել աշխարհի առաջ, բայց երբեք չի կորցրել իր հայկական դիմագիծն ու ինքնությունը։ Այն պահպանել են հենց երևանցիները՝ իրենց սրտացավությամբ, աշխատասիրությամբ ու դժվար ժամանակները պատվով հաղթահարելու կամքով։Երևանի 2808-ամյա պատմությունը հայերիս հպարտությունն է, իսկ ապագան՝ հենց մեր պատասխանատվությունը։Երևանը միայն վայելելու համար չէ։ Սիրել նշանակում է նաև կարողանալ հոգ տանել, պահպանել ու շենացնել։Մեր մայրաքաղաքն արժանի է մեծ մտածողության ու մեծ ծրագրերի։ Պետք է վերջ տալ ուրբանիստական տեռորին, պահպանել հին Երևանի հոգին և կառուցել ժամանակակից, կանաչ, տնտեսապես հզոր քաղաք, որտեղ հարմար է ապրել, աշխատել ու մեծացնել երեխաներին։Մի բան անփոփոխ է՝ Երևանը պարզապես քաղաք չէ։ Այն եղել ու մնալու է համայն հայության մտքի, մշակույթի, ուժի ու մեծ փոփոխությունների կենտրոն։Եվ Էրեբունուց Երևան դարձած մեր մայրաքաղաքը երբեք Էրիվան չի դառնալու։Ձեր՝Սամվել Կարապետյա
