FlyDubai's second pilot admits to planning terrorist attack

FlyDubai's co-pilot, 29-year-old Omani citizen Hamam al-Hamami, has confessed to trying to hijack a plane to carry out a terrorist attack at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport, and said he acted alone.

This was announced by UAE Attorney General Hamad Saif al-Shamsi, as reported by Vesti.

According to him, the accused gave detailed testimony in the presence of a lawyer.

Recall that on September 30, the co-pilot of a plane flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv attacked the captain of the plane using an "emergency axe" on board and tried to take control of the plane.

Within half a minute, the plane lost

5 kilometers in altitude, but managed to avoid a disaster.

The plane had given a distress signal and made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.
