Citizens voluntarily surrender illegal weapons and ammunition to the police

In another case, a citizen called the Vayots Dzor Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Police and reported that he had left weapons and ammunition in an area called Surb Kamurj.

As a result of the operational-investigative measures taken, 1 Kalashnikov assault rifle, 3 assault rifle magazines, 109 bullets of various calibers, 4 grenades, and grenade detonators were found in the said area.

Let us remind you that, according to Part 4 of Article 335 of the Criminal Code, a person who voluntarily surrenders firearms, their main components, ammunition and other materials, devices, and objects is exempted from criminal liability, the statement says.
