Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church of North Hollywood on the occasion of the Feast of St. Kevork. During the Devine Liturgy, Archbishop Khacherian delivered the sermon of the day, presided over the blessing of the Madagh (offering), and extended his congratulations to the parish community on the name day of the church, as well as to all those bearing the name Kevork. Serving at the Holy Altar were Rev. Fr. Arsen Kassabian, Pastor of St. Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church, together with deacons and scribes. Among the large gathering of faithful was Mr. Vahe Hovaguimian, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy. In his message, the Prelate reflected on the sainthood of St. Kevork the Warrior, emphasizing the strength of his faith and his martyrdom for Christ. Drawing upon passages from Holy Scripture, Archbishop Khacherian spoke of the meaning and example of St. Kevork’s life and witness, calling upon the faithful to live with the same spirit of faith, devotion, and courage, while preparing themselves for eternal life in the presence of God. During the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Khacherian performed the blessing of the Madagh. Following the service, the Prelate proceeded to the church hall, where he once again congratulated the parish community on the church’s name day and conveyed his blessings to all those present who bear the name Kevork. Archbishop Khacherian then presided over the luncheon organized by the Church Board of Trustees, joining members of the parish family and guests. Addressing those gathered, the Prelate expressed his appreciation for all those devoted individuals whose service, commitment, and dedication contribute to the strengthening and advancement of community life.
