This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan during a briefing with journalists after the government session.

«Մեր օրենսդրությամբ սահմանն ապօրինի հատելն էլ է հանցանք։

There are cases when they get lost, and if this case had not happened, we would have already returned the Azerbaijani soldier.

Լինում են դեպքեր, երբ մոլորվում են, և եթե այս դեպքը չլիներ, մենք արդեն ադրբեջանցի զինվորին հետ տված կլինեինք։

But a crime occurred, that is why we did not return that soldier,” Pashinyan said.

Բայց հանցանք է տեղի ունեցել, դրա համար էլ չենք տվել այդ զինվորին»,- ասել է Փաշինյանը։

When asked whether the Azerbaijani side does not demand its soldier, the Prime Minister noted that Azerbaijan has also initiated a criminal case in the case of that soldier.

Հարցին, թե արդյոք ադրբեջանական կողմը չի պահանջում իր զինվորին, վարչապետը նշել է, որ Ադրբեջանն այդ զինվորի դեպքով ևս քրեական գործ է հարուցել։

“No, there is no demand from Azerbaijan.

«Ո՛չ, պահանջ չկա Ադրբեջանից։

Azerbaijan itself has initiated a criminal case, issued a statement.

Ադրբեջանն ինքն էլ քրեական գործ է հարուցել, հայտարարություն է տարածել։

Azerbaijan may want to conduct an investigation into its own criminal case.

Ադրբեջանը կարող է ուզենալ իր քրեական գործով էլ հետաքննություն անել։

That soldier, if he goes to Azerbaijan, will not go to their home; that soldier will be tried, including in Azerbaijan, if he appears there,” Pashinyan added.

Այդ զինվորը, որ գնա Ադրբեջան, չի գնալու իրենց տուն․ այդ զինվորին դատելու են, այդ թվում՝ Ադրբեջանում, եթե նա հայտնվի այնտեղ»,- հավելել է Փաշինյանը։
