The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has filed a lawsuit demanding the confiscation of the former Ayrarat or Rossiya movie theater building from its owner, the office's press service reported.
Генпрокуратура Армении обратилась в суд с требованием конфисковать у владельца здание бывшего кинотеатра "Айрарат" или "Россия", сообщает пресс-служба ведомства.
The building belongs to the family of businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan, a former member of parliament from the Civil Contract party.
Здание принадлежит семье экс-депутата от "Гражданского договора", бизнесмена Хачатура Сукиасяна.
The former Rossiya or Ayrarat movie theater building and the surrounding area were privatized by members of Khachatur Sukiasyan's family in 2004.
Бывшее здание кинотеатра "Россия" или "Айрарат" и прилегающие территории в 2004 году приватизировали члены семьи Хачатура Сукиасяна.
Several years ago, the Rossiya Mall shopping center was built next to the movie theater, and the Terminal 5 business center was built directly next to it.
Несколько лет назад рядом с кинотеатром был построен торговый центр "Россия Молл", непосредственно по соседству с которым возвысился бизнес-центр "Терминал 5".
