Elections are underway in Nor Hachn: who wants to become the community leader?

In a number of communities of Kotayk, including Nor Hachn, elections are scheduled for December 13.

Կոտայքի մի շարք համայնքներում՝ այդ թվում Նոր Հաճնում, ընտրությունները նշանակված են դեկտեմբերի 13-ին։

Gagik Matevosyan has been the head of the community in Nor Hachn since 2009.

Նոր Հաճնում 2009-ից համայնքի ղեկավար է Գագիկ Մաթևոսյանը։

According to information available in the press, he was a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party, and also privately enjoyed the support of the Republican Party.

Մամուլում առկա տեղեկությունների համաձայն՝ նա եղել է ԲՀԿ անդամ, ինչպես նաև ոչ հրապարակային վայելել է ՀՀԿ-ի աջակցությունը։

However, in 2015, along with a number of other officials, Matevosyan left the ranks of the Prosperous Armenia Party, taking into account Gagik Tsarukyan's statement on the reorganization of the party.

Matevosyan was born in 1976, he is an economist-manager by profession.

Մաթևոսյանը ծնվել է 1976 թվականին, մասնագիտությամբ տնտեսագետ-մենեջեր է։

Before being elected mayor for the first time, he worked as a director and head of the commercial department at “Terisa” and “NAKHSH” LLCs.

Մինչև առաջին անգամ համայնքապետ ընտրվելը աշխատել է «Թերիսա» և «ՆԱԽՇ» ՍՊԸ-ներում որպես տնօրեն և կոմերցիոն բաժնի ղեկավար։

The most scandalous incident during his long tenure as mayor of Nor Hachn involves not him, but his son.

Նոր Հաճնի երկարամյա համայնքապետի պաշտոնավարման տարիների ամենաղմկահարույց դեպքը վերբերում է ոչ թե իրեն, այլ՝ որդուն։

On October 19, 2023, 31 and 32-year-old young men were stabbed several times in Nor Hachn and taken to the hospital for not giving way.

2023-ի հոկտեմբերի 19-ին Նոր Հաճնում 31 և 32-ամյա երիտասարդները ստացել էին դանակի մի քանի հարվածներ ու տեղափոխվել հիվանդանոց՝ ճանապարհը չզիջելու համար.

The suspect was Matevosyan’s son, Hayk Matevosyan.

The Investigative Committee had filed a motion with the court to detain the mayor’s son, but the court had chosen house arrest as a preventive measure against him.

Քնչական կոմիտեն միջնորդություն էր ներկայացրել դատարան համայնքապետի որդուն կալանավորելու համար, սակայն դատարանը նրա նկատմամբ խափանման միջոց էր ընտրել տնային կալանքը: Հաջորդ տարի Քննչական կոմիտեն հայատարարեց դեպքի նախաքննության ավարտի մասին, և ձեռք բերված բավարար փաստերի հիման վրա Մաթևոսյանի որդու նկատմամբ որպես խափանման միջոց էր կիրառվել կալանքը։

The following year, the Investigative Committee announced the completion of the preliminary investigation into the case, and based on sufficient evidence obtained, arrest was applied as a preventive measure against Matevosyan’s son.
