Architect and Historic Heritage Preservationist Varuzhan Arakelyan Has Died

It is with deep sorrow that we learned that Varuzhan Arakelyan, an architect, national-ideological and public figure, as well as a recognized expert in the field of preservation and restoration of Armenian historical monuments, has passed away.
Խոր ցաւով տեղեկացանք, որ կեանքէն հեռացած է ճարտարապետ, ազգային-գաղափարական եւ հասարակական գործիչ, ինչպէս նաեւ հայկական պատմական յուշարձաններու պահպանութեան եւ վերականգնման բնագաւառին մէջ ճանչցուած մասնագէտ Վարուժան Առաքելեանը։
Born in Tabriz in 1934, Varuzhan Arakelyan received his higher architectural education at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Tehran.
1934 թուականին Թաւրիզ ծնած, Վարուժան Առաքելեան իր ճարտարապետական բարձրագոյն կրթութիւնը ստացած էր Թեհրանի համալսարանի գեղարուեստական հիմնարկին մէջ։
