Teacher who abused student to be arrested

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reports this.

Դեպքի առթիվ ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեի Գեղարքունիքի մարզային քննչական վարչությունում նախաձեռնվել է քրեական վարույթ՝ անչափահասի նկատմամբ ֆիզիկական ուժեղ ցավ կամ հոգեկան ուժեղ տառապանք պատճառելու հոդվածի հատկանիշներով։

“According to a report on an apparent crime received by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia on October 6, 2026, on September 30, a teacher at a secondary school in Vardadzor hit a student with a stick for talking during class, after which, when the child ran into the corridor, the teacher went out and, hitting the minor with her hand, dragged her to the classroom.

Նախաքննության ընթացքում ձեռք բերված բավարար ապացույցների հիման վրա՝ քննիչի կողմից ուսուցչուհու նկատմամբ հանրային քրեական հետապնդում հարուցելու վերաբերյալ միջնորդություն է ներկայացվել հսկող դատախազին, որը բավարարվել է: Նրա նկատմամբ կայացվել է ձերբակալման որոշում: Նախաքննությունը շարունակվում է»,-նշված է հաղորդագրության մեջ: Հիշեցնենք, որ սեպտեմբերի 30-ին Գեղարքունիքի մարզի գյուղերից մեկի դպրոցում 2-րդ դասարանի աշակերտուհու հարազատների պնդմամբ՝ դպրոցի ուսուցչուհին դասարանում ֆիզիկական բռնություն է կիրառել երեխայի նկատմամբ։

A criminal case has been initiated in the Gegharkunik Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia under the article “Causing severe physical pain or severe mental suffering to a minor.”

Based on sufficient evidence obtained during the preliminary investigation, the investigator submitted a motion to initiate public criminal prosecution against the teacher to the supervising prosecutor, which was granted.

An arrest warrant has been issued against her.

The investigation is ongoing,” the statement said.

Let us recall that on September 30, according to the relatives of a 2nd grade student at a school in one of the villages of Gegharkunik province, the school teacher used physical violence against the child in the classroom.
