Pashinyan does not rule out choosing the Russian option for the construction of the nuclear power plant

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan does not rule out that Armenia may choose the Russian option for building a new nuclear power unit.

On September 29 in Yerevan, Rosatom Head Alexei Likhachev told reporters that the Armenian government had been offered to build a new 1 GW (1,000 MW) nuclear power unit.

He also reported that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan promised that Armenia would make a decision on the technical specifications of the new unit in the coming months and select partners to build it.
