Ghalibaf-Mirzoyan meeting: The Caucasus should not become a field of geopolitical competition between foreign powers

The Iranian Parliament Speaker noted that Tehran consistently strives to strengthen relations with neighboring countries, especially Armenia, and expressed hope that the strategic cooperation agreement between Armenia and Iran will be finalized soon.

Իրանի խորհրդարանի նախագահը նշել է, որ Թեհրանը հետեւողականօրէն ձգտում է ամրապնդել յարաբերութիւնները հարեւան երկրների, յատկապէս Հայաստանի հետ, եւ յոյս է յայտնել, որ շուտով կը վերջնականացւի Հայաստանի եւ Իրանի միջեւ ռազմավարական համագործակցութեան պայմանագիրը։

During the meeting, Mirzoyan emphasized that the cooperation between the governments of the two countries contributes to the strengthening of bilateral ties. According to him, stable friendship is especially manifested and strengthened by standing by each other in difficult times.

Հանդիպմանը Միրզոյեանն ընդգծել է, որ երկու երկրների կառավարութիւնների համագործակցութիւնը նպաստում է երկկողմ կապերի ամրապնդմանը։ Նրա խօսքով՝ կայուն բարեկամութիւնը յատկապէս դրսեւորւում եւ ամրապնդւում է դժւար օրերին միմեանց կողքը կանգնելու միջոցով։

Also present at the meeting were Dr. Ara Shahverdian, Chairman of the Iran-Armenia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, and Dr. Geghard Mansourian, Vice Chairman of the group.

According to the Iranian Tabnak, the meeting focused on the role of external forces in the Caucasus, regional cooperation, and the further strengthening of Armenia-Iran relations.

Ըստ իրանական Tabnak-ի՝ հանդիպման առանցքում եղել են Կովկասում արտաքին ուժերի դերակատարութեան, տարածաշրջանային համագործակցութեան եւ Հայաստան-Իրան յարաբերութիւնների հետագայ ամրապնդման հարցերը։
