“Today’s event was the result of two teachers from the Vachiani Public School, history teacher Eran Makariani and art teacher Christine Ghazariani, who decided to combine two subjects and went on an excursion to Didgori. In Didgori, they studied, reinforced the historical part, and drew sketches of Didgori’s monuments. “The students transferred all this to canvases and presented it at the competition-exhibition,” said Marina Chomariani, director of the Vachiani Public School.

Portraits, landscapes and various unique works were presented. Each painting had its own unique colors and style. The event was attended by the Chairman of the City Council Nairi Iritsian, representatives of the City Council, the leadership of the Akhalkalaki Municipality Educational Resource Center and the administration and employees of the Akhalkalaki School of Fine Arts. All participants were awarded certificates of honor, and the winners were awarded prizes.
