The first to speak was Zakar Keshishian, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of Hamazkayin, who, drawing on his own experience, reflected on the brutal picture of forced displacement from Artsakh. He then noted that this award ceremony and the exhibition of Artsakh painters are being held especially in these days, when the Azerbaijani aspirations to distort our Artsakh culture and history and the attacks carried out with a high level of state organization have gained new momentum. Referring to the volumes, he said that the volume “Artsakh Unfinished War” is a photographic narrative depicting the turmoil of the 44-day heroic war, the terrible blockade of Artsakh, as seen through the lens of Artsakh professional photographer David Ghahramanyak. The first volume of the “Artsakh Endangered Heritage” photobook is the 2023 publication of Hamazkayin, in collaboration with the “Foundation for the Study of Armenian Architecture” founded by the late Samuel Karapetyan, and authored by Raffi Kortoshian. In 2025, when Artsakh was already depopulated, it was deemed imperative to publish the second volume of “Artsakh Endangered Heritage,” which included examples of the magnificent cultural heritage previously under Armenian control, as well as numerous newly built churches and monuments.

Առաջին խօսք առնողը եղաւ Համազգայինի Կեդրոնական վարչութեան ատենապետ Զաքար Քէշիշեան, որ իր փորձառութենէն մեկնած` անդրադարձաւ Արցախէն բռնի տեղահանութեան դաժան պատկերին: Ապա նշեց, որ սոյն շնորհահանդէսը եւ արցախցի գեղանկարիչներու ցուցահանդէսը կը կատարուի յատկապէս այս օրերուն, երբ արցախեան մեր մշակոյթն ու պատմութիւնը խեղաթիւրելու ազերիական նկրտումները եւ պետական բարձր կազմակերպուածութեամբ իրագործուող յարձակումները նոր թափ ստացած են: Անդրադառնալով հատորներուն` ան ըսաւ, որ «Արցախ անաւարտ պատերազմ» հատորը 44-օրեայ հերոսական պատերազմի թոհուբոհը, Արցախի ահաւոր շրջափակումը պատկերող լուսանկարչական պատումն է` արցախցի արհեստավարժ լուսանկարիչ Դաւիթ Ղահրամանեակի ոսպնեակէն դիտուած: «Արցախ վտանգուած ժառանգութիւն» պատկերագիրքի առաջին հատորը Համազգայինի 2023-ի հրատարակութիւնն է` համագործակցութեամբ վաղամեռիկ Սամուէլ Կարապետեանի հիմնադրած «Հայկական ճարտարապետութիւնն ուսումնասիրող հիմնադրամ»-ին, հեղինակութեամբ Րաֆֆի Քորթոշեանի, իսկ 2025-ին, երբ արդէն Արցախը հայաթափ եղած էր, հրամայական նկատուեցաւ հրատարակել «Արցախ վտանգուած ժառանգութիւն» երկրորդ հատորը, ուր տեղ գտան մինչ այդ հայոց վերահսկողութեան տակ գտնուող մշակութային հոյակերտ ժառանգութեան նմուշներ, նաեւ` նորակառոյց բազմաթիւ եկեղեցիներ ու յուշարձաններ:

Zakhar Keshishian confirmed that this unique two-volume book is an illustrated and professional catalog of these treasures, the existence of which is currently endangered, adding that since the publication of the volumes, a large number of monuments and structures have already been demolished, and some are subject to distortion.

Զաքար Քէշիշեան հաստատեց, որ իր տեսակին մէջ եզակի այս երկհատորեակը պատկերազարդ ու մասնագիտական ցուցակագրումն է այս հարստութիւններուն, որոնց գոյութիւնը վտանգուած է ներկայիս, աւելցնելով, որ հատորներու հրատարակութենէն ետք արդէն իսկ կազմաքանդուած են մեծաթիւ կոթողներ, կառոյցներ, իսկ ոմանք ենթակայ են խեղաթիւրման:

He informed that a fourth illustrated book, “Pidzrananq Shushi” (Higher Shushi), with photographs by Vladimir Gevorgyan, a professional photographer and director from Shushi, will soon be published.

Ան տեղեկացուց, որ շուտով լոյս կը տեսնէ նաեւ չորրորդ պատկերագիրքը` «Բիձրանանք Շուշի» (Բարձրանանք Շուշի), շուշեցի արհեստավարժ լուսանկարիչ եւ բեմադրիչ Վլատիմիր Գէորգեանի լուսանկարներով:

Concluding his speech, Zakhar Keshishian expressed gratitude to all those who contributed in various ways to the publication of such important publications, because the volumes are deeply documented. (The full text of the speech is below).

Իր խօսքը եզրափակելով` Զաքար Քէշիշեան շնորհակալութիւն յայտնեց բոլոր անոնց, որոնք տարբեր ձեւերով իրենց ներդրումը ունեցան նման կարեւոր հրատարակութիւններու լոյս ընծայման, որովհետեւ հատորները խորքին մէջ վաւերագրումներ են: (ստորեւ՝խօսքին ամբողջութիւնը):

Archbishop Makar Ashkarian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Berea, also spoke about the value of the volumes, noting that in an era when history can be erased, a church can be destroyed in an instant, and its existence denied, when an entire people can be displaced and the world can be told that they never lived there, the printed book comes to become a living witness about them and remains as a powerful proof of the existence of Artsakh.

Խօսք առաւ եւ հատորներուն արժէքին մասին խօսեցաւ նաեւ Բերիոյ հայոց թեմի առաջնորդ Մակար արք. Աշգարեան, որ նշեց, թէ մինչ դարաշրջանի մը մէջ, երբ պատմութիւնը կրնայ ջնջուիլ, եկեղեցի մը կրնայ ակնթարթի մէջ քանդուիլ, եւ ուրացուիլ անոր գոյութիւնը, երբ ամբողջ ժողովուրդ մը կրնայ տեղահան ըլլալ եւ աշխարհին ըսուիլ, թէ անոնք հոն երբեք չեն ապրած, տպագիր գիրքը կու գայ անոնց մասին կենդանի վկայ դառնալու եւ կը մնայ որպէս զօրեղ ապացոյց Արցախի գոյութեան:

The Archbishop affirmed that these paintings and published books are much more than just paper and ink, they are the voice of the land that the world is trying to silence today. He noted that these volumes testify to three undeniable truths: our centuries-old history, that the indigenous people of Artsakh are Armenians, our culture and centuries-old religious heritage, and our just Cause.

Սրբազանը հաստատեց, որ սոյն նկարչութիւններն ու հրատարակուած գիրքերը շատ աւելին են, քան` լոկ թուղթ ու մելան, անոնք այն հողին ձայնն են, զոր աշխարհն այսօր կը փորձէ լռեցնել: Ան նշեց, որ այս հատորները կը վկայեն երեք անհերքելի ճշմարտութիւններու մասին` մեր դարաւոր պատմութեան, թէ Արցախի բնիկ ժողովուրդը հայն է, մեր մշակոյթի եւ դարաւոր կրօնական ժառանգութեան եւ մեր արդար Դատին մասին:

Archbishop Makar Ashkarian emphasized that these printed books are the insurance of our culture against cultural genocide, adding that they prove the free will of the people of Artsakh. He said that our just Cause is being ignored and actively falsified by Turkey and Azerbaijan, which spend billions for this purpose, print fake books, and rewrite history. “For every fake book they print, we must present ten real books; for every lie they tell about Artsakh, we must show a page that was printed more than a hundred years ago, when they did not yet exist as a state,” said the Holy Father, and concluding his speech, he affirmed that Artsakh is not lost, but will live as long as its witness lives, and as long as these books and others like them exist and live on our shelves, in libraries, and in our hands. Աշգարեան շեշտեց, որ այս տպագիր գիրքերը մեր մշակոյթի ապահովագրութիւնն են մշակութային ցեղասպանութեան դէմ, աւելցնելով, որ անոնք կը փաստեն Արցախի ժողովուրդի ազատ կամքը: Ան ըսաւ, որ մեր արդար Դատը կ՛անտեսուի եւ աշխուժ կերպով կը կեղծուի Թուրքիոյ եւ Ազրպէյճանի կողմէ, որոնք այս նպատակով միլիառներ կը ծախսեն, կեղծ գիրքեր կը տպեն, պատմութիւնը վերստին կը գրեն: «Անոնց իւրաքանչիւր տպած կեղծ գիրքի դիմաց մենք պէտք է ներկայացնենք տասը իրական գիրք, անոնց Արցախի մասին ըսած իւրաքանչիւր սուտի դիմաց մենք պէտք է ցոյց տանք էջ մը, որ տպուած է աւելի քան հարիւր տարի առաջ, երբ անոնք որպէս պետութիւն տակաւին գոյութիւն չունէին», ըսաւ սրբազան հայրը եւ եզրափակելով իր խօսքը` հաստատեց, որ Արցախը կորսուած չէ, այլ կ՛ապրի, քանի դեռ անոր վկան կ՛ապրի, եւ քանի դեռ այս գիրքերը եւ ասոնց նմանները կան ու կ՛ապրին մեր դարակներուն վրայ, գրադարաններուն եւ մեր ձեռքերուն մէջ: (ստորեւ՝խօսքին ամբողջութիւնը):

Kasia Levonian, a teacher at the Hamazkayin “Barsegh Ganachian” music school, and Natalie Arakelian, a student on the flute, participated in the artistic program with a musical performance.
