In reality, what is alluded to in the video refers to the world-famous painting by Leonardo Da Vinci called “The Last Supper,” which, in keeping with the Gospel, depicts the famous last supper of our Lord Jesus Christ with his disciples before his crucifixion.

As for the not-necessarily cute joke related to the name of the church mentioned in the video, I must say that this is not the first time that a church has been named after the Saint who was the heavenly patron of its construction.

It is an opportunity to recall that our people have a pious custom of naming their child whose birth coincides with the feast of a Saint or a saint by the name of the said saint.

Among our people, there are not a few Sarkis, for example, who, if they do not bear the name of their grandfather, were most likely born on the week of the feast of St.

Sarkis.

In any case, it is likely that the grandfather was born by that coincidence.

The same is true of our Harutyuns, Garabeds, Mariams, or Hovhannes.

Therefore, joking that the church could be called St.

I mentioned this historical information here at the cost of lengthening my writing, simply to express my regret that none of the present deputies of our “elected” parliament, of this convocation, were apparently familiar with this general knowledge related to international art, since they did not intervene to convey useful knowledge to at least their voters who were watching them live, to remind the candidate for the NA Vice President that the episode he narrated is devoid of literacy and, apart from eliciting a few laughs, has no benefit to the public.

NOTE: 1- I should mention that, according to the video, many of the so-called opposition deputies, who sometimes sat there as ornaments, laughed more heartily at the episode, which is nothing more than a concession of literacy to political rivals, that is, also with the intention of belittling them at all costs.
