109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide commemorated at Parliament Hill in Ottawa
On May 1, 2024, Parliament Hill commemoration of the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide brought together the Speaker of the House, representatives of government and all political parties, members of the diplomatic corps, the civil service and leaders and allies of the Armenian-Canadian community for a solemn commemoration of the first genocide of the 20th century. Messages echoed the necessity to combat Turkey's ongoing denialism of this horrific crime, our collective duty to prevent genocide and to stand with the people of Artsakh, who, once again, similar to their forefathers, are facing the genocidal aggression of Azerbaijan. Thank you to all the elected officials and members of the diplomatic corps and the civil service for their valued attendance and solidarity with the ANCC and the Armenian-Canadian community.
