"Principle" movement demands Pashinyan's removal, offers immunity to 3 presidents on condition they leave politics

This was announced during a press conference by Artashes Ikonomov, co-founder of the “Nzhar” constitutional movement.

Ikonomov noted that the initiative is due to the “deep political, legal, and moral crisis” that has developed in Armenia. According to him, the current authorities not only do not represent the will of the people, but are also “carrying out illegal persecution of the opposition and waging an anti-constitutional campaign against the Armenian Apostolic Church.”

Իկոնոմովը նշեց, որ նախաձեռնությունը պայմանավորված է Հայաստանում ստեղծված «խոր քաղաքական, իրավական և բարոյական ճգնաժամով»։ Ըստ նրա՝ գործող իշխանությունները ոչ միայն չեն ներկայացնում ժողովրդի կամքը, այլև «ապօրինի հետապնդումներ են իրականացնում ընդդիմության նկատմամբ և հակասահմանադրական արշավ ծավալում Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու դեմ»։

“Our goal is to remove Nikol Pashinyan’s government through a peaceful, dignified revolution. The movement will be led not by one person, but by a team of leaders,” Ikonomov said, calling on “the patriotic forces of Armenia and the Diaspora to unite in one fist.”

«Մեր նպատակն է խաղաղ, արժանապատվության հեղափոխության միջոցով հեռացնել Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի իշխանությունը։ Շարժումն առաջնորդվելու է ոչ թե մեկ անձի, այլ առաջնորդների թիմի կողմից»,- ասաց Իկոնոմովը՝ կոչ անելով «Հայաստանի և Սփյուռքի հայրենասեր ուժերին միավորվել մեկ բռունցքի մեջ»։

The program of the newly created movement envisages the formation of a temporary transitional government for a period of up to 360 days after the change of power.

Նորաստեղծ շարժման ծրագրով նախատեսվում է իշխանափոխությունից հետո մինչև 360 օր ժամկետով ձևավորել ժամանակավոր անցումային կառավարություն։

“Within the next two months, the names of all members of the government will be formed and presented to you on behalf of the united opposition. The members of this government will be our teammates according to their professions and skills. It is not necessary that they be from the leadership team,” Ikonomov noted.

«Մոտակա երկու ամսվա ընթացքում միավորված ընդդիմության անունից կձևավորվեն և ձեզ կներկայացվեն կառավարության բոլոր անդամների անունները։ Այս կառավարության անդամները կլինեն մեր թիմակիցները՝ ըստ իրենց մասնագիտությունների և հմտությունների։ Անպայման չէ, որ նրանք լինեն առաջնորդների թիմից»,- նշեց Իկոնոմովը։

According to the co-founder of the “Nzhar” constitutional movement, the transitional government will be set three main priorities.

«Նժար» սահմանադրական շարժման համահիմնադրի խոսքով՝ անցումային կառավարության առջև դրվելու են երեք գլխավոր առաջնահերթություններ։

“To organize a referendum around the draft constitution developed by the movement, which is published on the sahmanadrutyun.com website. To release political prisoners and stop all political persecution. To organize and hold fair and transparent parliamentary elections immediately after the systemic changes,” he emphasized.

«Կազմակերպել հանրաքվե շարժման մշակած սահմանադրական նախագծի շուրջ, որը հրապարակված է sahmanadrutyun.com կայքում։ Ազատ արձակել քաղբանտարկյալներին և դադարեցնել բոլոր քաղաքական հետապնդումները։ Համակարգային փոփոխություններից անմիջապես հետո կազմակերպել և անցկացնել արդար ու թափանցիկ խորհրդարանական ընտրություններ»,- ընդգծեց նա։

Let us recall that about a month ago, Artashes Ikonomov shared on his page a link to the sahmanadrutyun.com website, where a version of the draft constitution is published. Ikonomov, however, did not elaborate on who the author of the draft was and where it came from.

Two hours after this statement, the RA Ministry of Justice issued a denial that the text being circulated was not the draft of the new constitution developed by them.

Nina Karapetyants, co-founder of the “Nzhar” constitutional movement, read the text of the statement of the newly created “Principle” pan-Armenian political movement, which, according to her, is a political assessment of the activities of all the authorities of the Republic of Armenia since 1991.

«Նժար» սահմանադրական շարժման համահիմնադիր Նինա Կարապետյանցն ընթերցեց նորաստեղծ «Սկզբունք» համահայկական քաղաքական շարժման հայտարարության տեքստը, որը, ըստ նրա, 1991 թվականից առ այսօր Հայաստանի Հանրապետության բոլոր իշխանությունների գործունեության քաղաքական գնահատական է։

According to the statement, none of the four authorities of Armenia since independence has been able to build the state that generations have dreamed of, and all of them have made irreparable mistakes.

Ըստ հայտարարության՝ անկախությունից ի վեր Հայաստանի չորս իշխանություններից ոչ մեկը չի կարողացել կառուցել այն պետությունը, որի մասին երազել են սերունդները, և բոլորն էլ թույլ են տվել անուղղելի սխալներ։

If the movement succeeds, it intends to grant immunity to the first three presidents on the condition that they permanently leave politics.

Շարժումը հաջողելու դեպքում մտադիր է առաջին երեք նախագահներին տրամադրել անձեռնմխելիություն՝ քաղաքականությունից վերջնականապես հեռանալու պայմանով։

"We call on everyone to leave behind the disputes and disagreements of the past and present, join forces and begin building a de facto state. We cannot change the past, but we can predetermine our future," Karapetyants emphasized.

«Մենք կոչ ենք անում բոլորին թողնել անցյալի և ներկայի վեճերն ու տարաձայնությունները, միավորել ուժերը և սկսել դե ֆակտո պետության կառուցումը։ Մենք չենք կարող փոխել անցյալը, բայց մենք կարող ենք կանխորոշել մեր ապագան»,- ընդգծեց Կարապետյանցը։
