Turkish authorities launched a major wave of digital restrictions, issuing sweeping court orders to block social media profiles, news outlets, and digital monitoring handles. It began around the government's “My Family Is Safe” (Ailem Güvende) crackdown on LGBTI+ organizations and then expanded into restrictions on journalists, independent media, rights organizations, academics.
