Pashinyan given ultimatum in Bishkek and invited to Moscow

He suggested that Pashinyan’s visit to France, as a European Union country with closer relations with Armenia than other EU countries, may have been motivated by the need to exchange information regarding Yerevan’s membership in the EAEU and the CSTO.

Той предположи, че посещението на Пашинян във Франция, като страна от Европейския съюз с по-тесни отношения с Армения, отколкото други страни от ЕС, може да е било мотивирано от необходимостта от обмен на информация относно членството на Ереван в ЕАЕС и ОДКС.

“I do not think that the Armenian authorities are so politically short-sighted as to believe that Armenia can come close to preparing for EU accession in the next 15 years. Armenia knows that this is a long process and it is possible that the problem will never be resolved, following the example of neighboring Georgia and Turkey.”

„Не мисля, че арменските власти са толкова политически късогледи, че да вярват, че Армения може да се доближи до подготовката за присъединяване към ЕС през следващите 15 години. Армения знае, че това е дълъг процес и е възможно проблемът никога да не бъде решен, следвайки примера на съседните Грузия и Турция.“

Another question is how the European Union and France will perceive the situation of Armenia, which cannot leave the EAEU, and the EU is not ready to accept Armenia into its ranks.

Друг въпрос е как Европейският съюз и Франция ще възприемат ситуацията на Армения, която не може да напусне ЕАЕС, а ЕС не е готов да приеме Армения в своите редици.

Pashinyan went to a meeting with Macron to find out the position of the European Union and France on this situation. Armenia needs answers backed by concrete guarantees. And if these are just promises, it means that the Armenian authorities should take the issue more seriously.

Пашинян отиде на среща с Макрон, за да узнае позицията на Европейския съюз и Франция по тази ситуация. Армения се нуждае от отговори, подкрепени с конкретни гаранции. И ако това са просто обещания, това означава, че арменските власти трябва да приемат въпроса по-сериозно.

If Armenia leaves the CSTO and withdraws the Russian base, what concrete guarantees are there that Yerevan will not be subjected to Turkish-Azerbaijani military pressure?, noted Keryan.
