The article Nikol speaks from the UN rostrum about the interests of Azerbaijan and Turkey was first published in the Armenian newspaper Vahan.

“Although the UN, as an international organization, has lost its influence, it is still important from the point of view of propaganda, as a platform,” wrote RPA Supreme Council member Artak Zakaryan on Facebook, continuing:
“I especially follow the speeches of the leaders of countries that are at the center of international events. Each person’s speech is built on the logic of clearly presenting the vital interests of his own country, his own interpretation of the existing contradictions, as well as his positions, aspirations and goals.
What does Armenia want from the world? This should be evident from Nikol’s speech.
In fact, Nikol traveled to New York to speak from the rostrum of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly about the interests of Azerbaijan and Turkey. He went to reiterate and indirectly confirm that Armenia is a state dependent on Azerbaijan and Turkey today. Whatever they want, this will be the de facto foreign policy of Armenia.
He went to assure that Armenia will “leave” its natural and true ally Russia and will integrate into the Western Caucasus-Central Asia axis. In other words, into the Turkic world, which is a new tool of anti-Russianism.
It is especially ironic when the head of a “government” that has violated and failed the vital interests of Armenia speaks of “strategic relations”. I think those present were particularly impressed by the strategic relations between Armenia and Luxembourg, Armenia and Croatia, Armenia and Lithuania, Armenia and the Netherlands, as well as Armenia and Bulgaria. Perhaps even these countries are surprised that they have strategic importance in the life of the Armenian people.
Nikol presented another special gift to Azerbaijan from the UN podium, uttering the following thought: “…although Armenians and Azerbaijanis have centuries-old experience of peaceful coexistence.” I wonder where Nikol saw an Azerbaijani who had lived for centuries? Which historical source indicates that an Azerbaijani once lived alongside Armenians in the South Caucasus? Why is it giving Baku a new opportunity to continue its aggressive policy of annexing Armenian territories, based on a false and fabricated history? Where is the Armenian interest in all this? After all this, how can we talk about peace?
In summary, we can say that Nikol Pashinyan’s speech to the UN General Assembly as a whole had nothing to do with the interests of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people.
