Throughout the tournament, both teams remained at the top of the standings and finished in the leading positions, although they did not manage to reach the podium.

The 11th and final day of the 46th FIDE World Chess Olympiad, held since September 16 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, took place on Sunday, September 27.
El domingo 27 de septiembrese disputó la 11ª y última fecha de la 46ª Olimpiada Mundial de Ajedrez de la FIDE, que se celebró desde el 16 de septiembre en Samarcanda, Uzbekistán.
In the men's tournament, contested by 204 teams, the Uzbek team took the gold medal, while in the women's tournament, with 187 teams participating, the Chinese national team claimed the top spot on the podium.

The Armenian men's team scored 17 points out of a possible 22, finishing in 6th place with 7 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss. It's worth noting that the men's team lost their undefeated record in the penultimate round against Uzbekistan, falling 3-1. In the final round, they recovered and defeated Croatia 3-1.
La selección masculina de Armenia sumó 17 puntos de 22 posibles y quedó en 6ª posición luego de 7 victorias, 3 empates, 1 derrota. Cabe destacar que los varones perdieron el invicto en la anteúltima fecha frente a Uzbekistán, al caer derrotados por 3 a 1. En la última fecha, se recuperaron y vencieron a Croacia 3 a 1.
Meanwhile, the Armenian women's team also achieved 17 points out of a possible 22, finishing sixth in the overall standings with 8 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses. In their last two rounds, the Armenian women drew 2-2 with Greece and defeated Uzbekistan 3-1.
Por su parte, el equipo femenino armenio también logró 17 puntos de los 22 posibles y quedó en el sexto lugar de la tabla general, con 8 victorias, 1 empate, 2 derrotas. En las últimas dos fechas, la mujeres de Armenia empataron con Grecia 2 a 2 y le ganaron a Uzbekistán 3 a 1.
Members of both the Armenian women's and men's chess teams won medals in separate subgroups and on individual boards at the World Chess Olympiad.

The Armenian women's team was represented by International Master Lilit Mkrtchyan, Woman Grandmaster Mariam Mkrtchyan, Grandmaster Elina Danielyan, Woman International Master Susanna Gaboyan, and Anahit Mkrtchyan. The team's coach was Zaven Andriasyan.
